Guntur Zilla Khadi Gramodyog Samstha is a heritage organisation preserving the true spirit of Khadi since 1971. What began with a modest production setup has today grown into a leading institution supporting thousands of rural artisans while delivering pure, natural and Ayurvedic wellness products. We combine traditional craftsmanship with ethical production practices to promote healthier living rooted in Indian heritage.

our journey / milestones

  • 1971 — Organisation decentralised; started with minimal capital and limited stock.
  • 1989–90 — Production reached ₹78.23 lakhs and sales ₹93.66 lakhs under dedicated leadership.
  • Mobile hawking sales introduced to reach rural villages and promote Khadi.
  • 1997 — Custom-made inventory and accounting software implemented; now used by over 200 Khadi institutions.
  • 2005 — State Level Artisan Welfare & Pension Fund launched, benefiting over 84,000 artisans.
  • 2010 onwards — First Khadi institution to receive ISO 9001:2008 certification.
  • Present — Asset value ₹30.85 crores, business volume ₹15.32 crores per annum.

    Artisan Empowerment

    Over 2,060 artisans — including spinners, weavers, dhobis, and support staff — depend on Guntur Khadi for sustainable income. Every artisan is treated as a valued member of the Samstha. Fair wages, transparency, and welfare support remain core principles. This model preserves India’s handcraft heritage while uplifting rural families.

    Guntur Khadi follows strict certification standards set by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC). We are proud to be the first Khadi institution in India to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, ensuring consistent quality, transparency, and trust in every product.
